Dmitry Kosarev is a businessman with interests in development, banking, telecom and communications companies. He is a well-known philanthropist and long-time supporter of the Royal Family of Russia and their efforts to preserve Romanov’s legacy.
Born in 1953 in Moscow, Kosarev graduated from the Moscow Energy Institute in 1977 with a degree in international relations and economics. After a two-year tour in the Army, he held a number of public service jobs. In 1990, Kosarev also received a degree in International Economics from Moscow Finance University.
In the 1990s, Kosarev went into business and realized several successful projects, including development of Balchug Kempinsky, an iconic Moscow hotel, as well as international energy deals and more.
Kosarev has interest in banking sector and is a well-established investor in telecommunications company, notably Vivacom. He is also a well-known philanthropist and supporter of religious institutions. He financed several projects by the Royal Family of Russia and has been awarded with the order of St. Michael.
Mr. Kosarev became the owner of EMPRENO in September of 2015, and soon after EMPRENO became a shareholder of VIVACOM.
